My stupid mouth
do I ever stop to think that my inability to realize that my "strong outspoken character" might get me in trouble some day?
Today we realized that the audiovisual security at work actually does work. It isn't the visual we worry about...but when we see the owner listening to the tapes from by the register, I wonder.
Does he hear all the shit we talk about the restaurant? Do we know too much and think that we have too many rights to lose our jobs?
I never thought I might get fired from subway, but if I do, it is because I don't know when to shut my big mouth.
Yes, our paychecks were a day late. yes, he takes advantage of us. But also, in the state of california, you can fire and hire without notice or reason.
With that in mind, some load mouth liberal female employee might just cause too much trouble in the no so sleepy sandwhich harbor.
Maybe that is why everyone else talks really low when we are in that room.
Maybe I should do the same.
Maybe the drama is sorta facinating.
Maybe I can have a lawsuit that screws over the chain restaurant inductry and helps minimum wage workers gain some rights.
Or maybe I will lose my job, my references, and have dificulty ever being employed in this town again. And maybe there will be a vendeta out against me by the morman church (I might have said some bad things about them too...)
And maybe it will make for some great diaryland entries. For once.
